Arnar Gylfason: I’m going a bit off the reservation here. I want the team to say this themselves, but the Invasion feature is something that would lend itself very well to other gameplay aspects of EVE.
Invasion, or Incursion, we haven’t decided upon a name, is encouraging group gameplay through a mutual NPC enemy, but it can also attract other player elements. You can get a group of people together that you’ve never met in a social environment to attack a sort of rampaging horde of NPCs, and that is one part of the gameplay.
Another part of the gameplay is that the pirates will win and kill you all, and this is to the heart of EVE, which is to not mandate or dictate the content on the players, but rather provide interesting scenarios and see where they take it, and usually they take it to the extreme. That’s something we’re very happy with. The mechanic of this is something that will lend itself well to factional warfare, where you have a problem of not obtaining critical mass for a fleet fight in the right locations, so we can use similar mechanics for this. I’m not a programmer, but it feels like copy-paste programming to me. To apply this to factional warfare or other parts of EVE, so this is something we would be iterating in the future, and then with twists and turns, turning it from being a new feature to being an expansion to older features.

dokładnie, nie ma to jak za pomoca pve zwiekszyc pule potencjalnych celi do pvp :)
mnie bardziej interesuje strona 3 wywiadu:

czyli zamiast normalnego widoku pewno jakaś mapka symboli czy coś...

Niestety słabo znam angielski, a czy piszą tam coś o górnictwie, o nowych statkach albo o zmianach w obecnych (np większa orka albo orka do kopania). PVE to są misje a misji mamy w eve chyba dostatek, w dodatku już teraz są lepiej płatne aniżeli górnictwo (pomijam że kopanie samemu nawet mając hulka i tech 2 fit jest denerwujące bo ludzie mają tendencję do kradnięcia innym z puszek, natomiast jak najbardziej można robić misje samemu i bez problemów). Paradoksem jest to że aby kopać w miarę bezpiecznie trzeba mieć obstawę, a jak się później podzieli zarobek na wszystkich to interes się nie opłaca (kopać dla niespełna 8-10 milionów isków na godzinę to trochę kiepski interes). A z nowymi misjami będzie jak ze starymi - ludzie nauczą się robić je samemu i wyciagać w godzinę tyle górnik w 6 godzin.
Nie wydaje mi się aby gra potrzebowała umocnienia w misjach i npc'ach, to raczej inne dziedziny takie jak kopanie albo produkowanie powinno dostać jakiś bonus (na przykład większe ładownie w hulkach albo orka tech 2 która może kopać).
