Triget
Change is afoot, and for Tribe, this change is good. It will present some difficulties adjusting, but I think all will see this as a positive. Let me start from the (new) top. We have a new coalition leader, Sort Dragon of PL, who has been working to push our alliance and the coalition further from the founding of the alliance. He is picking up from where Montolio our long-laboring and beloved creator of the HBC left off. Montolio was weary from his role, and no longer having fun in the game. As TEST regroups, Sort Dragon has stepped in to help bring order to the coalition's many alliances.
What does this mean for Tribe? Well, the day Sort took over he convoed me as he said he would for each alliance. He wanted to say that he did indeed want to see us grow and blossom. The second thing he said was that he wanted me to tell Dice and Squee in Paragon Soul to merge into Tribe and transfer sov to Tribe. He said that we would be in talks in the upcoming days.
The following day we had a coalition leaders meeting, the first I have attended. It was all the execs of the HBC alliances that could make it. The meeting was concise. The specific points were that we were to bring our fleet doctrines into line with each other, finish sorting out all the sov transfers, tighten the noose on -DD- and vastly improve coalition-level communication and channels. A general theme he made was for improved integration between alliances, in particular a toning down of the vitriol leveled at each other on forums. The first step in this was making the coalition cesspit forums opt-in rather than open, and making pointless trash threads belong there. I'm wholeheartedly behind these changes and excited to see what the HBC can do when fully organized. So, what does this mean for Tribe?
We're going to be trading Geddons for Apocs among other things to bring us in line with coalition doctrines. Check military sections for new fits, I don't anticipate this seriously effecting any skill trainings as most of the ships we are already flying, or have recently added to our doctrines.
We are expanding our sov to the east, gaining the two southernmost constellations in Paragon Soul and setting up Jbs in a month or so. Moons are off limits until proportioned, this will be arranged in officers section.
Some of the corps from Dice and Squee may chose to join us, they've been talking to them. Squee was given the option to stay on the couch of any alliance in the HBC that wishes to host them.
Our alliance leaders will now have access to better structured channels. Military will have access, and we will be soon™ working on integrating coalition capitals.
So what else is new?
We are going to function without a Military Director, as that title seems to be cursed. Instead, we are going to have people with very special roles who fill very specific needs.
Bliss is EU FC leader/thing with a focus on recon and blackops
Zait is a US FC leader/thing with a focus on training (FC and general pvp)
Ammzi is a communications guy with a focus on Caps
Bretonia is the military logistics guy with a focus on deployment coordination
To explain where the major changes will be, its best for me to paraphrase Zait. He said something about how we need to recognize that sov grinding and 1000 man fleets aren't the only way to have fun pvping in an alliance. We need to cultivate the FC talent we have and harness that to give our guys opportunity to simply have fun without everything being all “things we have to do.” In this same vein, we'll be debuting the 10mil T1 cruiser reimbursement roams, so people can save for their first slow cat while still getting some satisfaction.
Recently, iCappyi and Lucid Dreamers left following the beating Demented took on the forums. Much of the bashing was in bad taste, and many of the Lucid guys felt betrayed by this, plus my request to have him removed was simply too much. They left for wormhole space, and I hope they return to us. Their departure left a large hole in our HR department, and its a bad time as corps from Dice and Squee come over, they will need their applications reviewed and then help getting setup. I've tasked Aura Ikku with heading up the endeavour, together with Damaroh and Demerlis (HR meeting about this). More help will been needed going forward and I anticipate HR hiring 4-5 new guys to help with this crucial department.
After realizing that we may not be expanding our sov last week, the leadership talked about renting and decided that allowing the space that we are not using could be used by those not inclined to join fleets while improving our fiscal outlook. Space we use now will not be effected and the details for this will be on the forums. With the addition of Paragon Soul to our holdings, our rental plan expanded to include that space. I'm sure there are many questions about this program, and I will edit this later with a link to the wiki that Crelic has been working on.
With the new rental program, and the addition of prospective moon income from PS, this puts us in a very good position to move towards a project that is much needed for Tribe. First, creating a war savings to cushion us during extended campaigns. Second, is to create a fund capable of reimbursing capital and super capital fleets. This is a very high goal for an alliance our age, but I think that not only can we do it, but we must do it to retain and effectively utilize our super pilots. We have a good number of these pilots, but they have not been called upon, nor have they really stepped up. Getting people into capitals and supers should be seen as a primary goal of our developing alliance. We have the resources in our alliance to build them, and our coalition brings a wealth of experience for using them. I should really get one myself, but I cannot seem to stop welping Taloses.
The past week has been one of the most difficult for me. The confusion leading up to Montolio's abdication led to politically difficult situations. It should not have gone so far, and the frustrations of leadership should never have filtered down to the members. Nonetheless, I believe that the outlook for Tribe is quiet bright and I think the changes laid out herein point out the direction we are going.
As always, I apreciate the overwhelming support all the members have given over the past week and I will always work to preserve and improve this alliance.

Current Alliance Situation

To: High Rollers,
Hey everyone,
As everyone probably knows by now the Alliance will be losing their sovereignty within a few days.
Asteria Imperative is looking for other opportunities in Nullsec and we are currently in talks with the Alliance Tribal Band about joining up with them.
Not all corporations currently in the Alliance may have the required memberbase or other features that Tribal Band may be looking for, meaning you may not necessarily be accepted in their Alliance. Asteria Imperative would like to invite all members and/or corporations that may be facing these issues, to contact us to see if we can provide you with a new home.
If you would be interested in having a chat about the current situation and the opportunities available to you within Asteria Imperative, by all means, feel free to contact Cyrane Aurorea.
Apart from that we wish every member of the High Rollers Alliance the best of luck, wherever they may end up
Kind regards,
Cyrane
