It is impossible to review any MMO games nowadays without comparing them to WoW at least once. Trust me, I get paid to do it once in a while. If it isn't the setting (EvE is as far removed from cartoonish fantasy as possible), then you compare the scope, the replayability or the player base.
The thing you want to avoid, however, is expecting any good MMO to be similar to World of Warcraft. I have yet to see the CDA review myself, but I'm not a fan of their reviews in general, so I'm not expecting much. The only bright side of the (better late than never) appearance of that review is a chance to present EvE to a wide audience.
