Pandemic Legion

Alright, so while I feel a bit silly posting in a 19 page thread that has gone from pillar to post, I'd feel even dumber about posting yet another thread about a dumb subject like this. Let's start from the basics, since I'm still unable to accurately piece everything together and literally only have 1/2 sides of the story.
First of all, to understand anything about Pandemic Legion -- you have to acknowledge and realize we're run a little differently from most other alliances out there. This is the core of it: We have no leader. For example: I do not lead Pandemic Legion, regardless how much others try to make it so on EN24/TMC/etc.
We're an FC chaos leadership model, with cat herders, enablers and one financier/executor. What this means is that any given time, we have a campaign commander who acts as our leader and depending on how they want to run things -- either have me/elise/etc as their backup or, like Fintroll (Billy Merc) say that they simply want to run it on their own. And the rest of us follow, or take a step back to let that campaign run it's course. It is a standard code of practice that if we don't agree with the direction the new campaign commander takes us -- we do not backseat/fling shit on the FC forums -- we shut the fuck up and just step out of the way. I've for example stepped out about 6 times during my stay in PL because I didn't agree with a campaign, but I let them get on with it and helped to advise if/when asked.
It comes with some problems internally, that's for sure -- and it provides out br0s out there even a bigger challenge until they either accept it or just say it's easier not to work with us (which we understand very well, trust me). But at the end of the day: it has worked for PL for the last god knows how many years and I fail to see any reason to break what is not broken, no matter how much it creeks when taking tight corners.
Now, to get to the present drama. First of all -- I can't really blame NORK members for this. But I blame them anyway, so right now -- every single PL member on a blue killmail has had their forums, services, irc, mumble, etcetc yanked. Why -- because the first hard lesson we expect new PL members to learn very fast is that in Pandemic Legion you are a member of the Alliance first, and Corporation second. And just because your CEO tells you to do something, doesn't mean you do it.
Grath Telkin is a combination of attention span of DHD, sense of direction of Montolio, attitute of Boodabooda and sperge level of everyone in ZULU put together.
But he is OUR Grath Telkin, who has proven himself to be more useful than most can even imagine. and it was due to this he was promoted to be the CEO of a corporation, which in PL essentially means you are a fucking cat herder we pin shit on when your members fuck up. We've yet to have a case where the CEO of a corporation fucked up, but alas... we have it now -- and time will tell how we can deal with that particular new scenario. And there's no question that Grath fucked up. He fucked up baaaaaaad when he told his members to go shoot blues. (FYI: despite common opinion, shooting blues in PL is one of our cardinal sins. Probably because if it WASN'T -- we literally could not have any blues because they'd all get shot. So we take this VERY SERIOUSLY).
The right path here would have been for Grath to of course just reset standings. But like me, he cannot actually do this. I have no executor rights, neither does Grath nor any other FC/CEO of PL. And therefore to do this, he would have had to be calm and collected and say "I want to lead Pandemic Legion right now", then just have a 5min chat and a handover with me and Manfred Sideous who's out current campaign commander with my support. But there is no calm for some people, there is just SHOOT, MURDER, KILL.
So for that, I apologize.
But with this apology comes a harsh reality: This is Pandemic Legion. We are not sane. We are your worst nightmare of a scitzo girlfriend, and we have knives. We've got more faggots than a gay parade in San Francisco, and we glardly promote the loudest, gayest, most pink one of them to be the parade leader if it's something they want to be. To be friends with us, you have to let go of your grasp of "normal" and accept we are gay, proud and fucking crazy.
If you can't -- that's ok, we understand. Some took a looooong time to get used to use, some were quick to exchange blowjobs in a tight spot. Some, we never got along.
So, for now -- what we're going to do is take a step back. We understand that some of you saw this gay pride just come out of the closet and you are probably a little.. taken back. So like a good understanding minority member, I think it's best for this gay pride to take a step back for now and let you admire this drag from a distance to measure and decide if you still want to fuck -- or if you prefer to just dance in the other corner of the disco.
tl;dr: for the next few days, PL will remain neutral and I'll ask general PL member groups to remain disabled/removed from forums. We'll decide on a direction in a few days after everyone has a chance to sober up and judge this queen without beer coggles.
